Agency

Agency

SA Performing Arts has been supplying artists for professional bookings since opening in 2001. Students are automatically considered for any castings that suit them, but parents are encouraged to send us updated headshots and heights annually. You will always be contacted to check availability first before being considered for any role. We are a non-sole agency – which means you can find work yourself or with another agent, but you must inform us if your child is with a sole-agency as we cannot represent them in this case. Failure to respond to emails will mean we won’t consider your child in the future.

Professional work terms and conditions:

Students will be represented by the Centre’s agency in all branches of the entertainment industry including (but not limited to) theatre, cabaret, films, television, recording, advertising and all forms of commercial tie-ups whilst enrolled at the Centre and shall agree to pay a commission at a rate of ten percent in respect of bookings. VAT is payable on all commissions.

Students may also be represented by an outside agent.

In the event of a student under taking a further engagement from an employer with whom the Centre has previously procured an engagement for you, or in the event of an employer booking a student as a result of an engagement the Centre have procured, commission shall continue to be paid at the above rate.

The Centre shall be entitled to receive on your behalf all monies on which our commission may be payable and to account to you the balance after deducting the said commission.

Headshots

All castings require an up to date photograph of applicants. This is usually a ‘headshot’, which is a clear head and shoulders image, with no distracting background or other people in the picture. There are hundreds of professional photographers out there, many of whom do not take great pictures and charge too much! If you are interested in getting Professional images for your child please ask us for advice on where to get them.
